Only the ignorant think there is a nation known as the United States

I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America,
and to the republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

How many errors?

Allegiance to a flag??? Duh. Next time the flag is in trouble call me. I know it's just symbolism.

the republic for which it stands - maybe, if there were such a republic.

one nation - no, fifty.

indivisible - no, it's a free and voluntary association. If I can join, I can quit.

liberty and justice for all - if you've got the money!!

Let's get serious though. The United States of America was not and is not founded as a republic or as a nation. The United States of America is a Union as in "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union ..." No where in the Declaration of Independence nor in the Constitution will you find the United States designated as a nation. That designation is an invention of those who want a powerful, overbearing central government. The Founders carefully removed all references to the United States as a nation and the government formed as national because they were not forming a new nation. The system being formed was an union of nations. The Pledge of Allegiance is just another nail in the coffin of States' rights (actually powers). The federal government has been surreptitiously destroying the individuality of the states as free and independent nations through actions such as the Civil War, the 14th amendment, the 17th amendment, and the myriad of laws that affect activites internal to a state.

The government has done its job well because you who are reading this truly believe the US is a nation or it is a republic, etc because you were brain-washed and do not have the wherewithall to think outside the box.

Passing of Judges

The MSM (main stream media) seem fixated on stating that Americans (wrong term since everyone from the Yukon to Chile to Argentina to Nicaragua are Americans) are saying good bye to Rehnquist.

I for one am not. My thoughts are good riddance and may the others go with him. To those who really study the Constitution and the original discussions behind it, then compare that to the decisions of the supreme Court, the truth is clear. The Court has done more damage to the original Constitution than all the Presidents and Congresses combined.

I have yet to find a decision by the Court that is in agreement with the clear and simple text of the Constitution. Every decision I have read is convoluted and bent to the predilection of the judges. We are the worse for it.

I can say but the following:

If when I die, I go to Heaven, I shall be thankful for no judge or lawyer shall enter there.

The Destruction of your Children

Public Schools - the bastion of the free world, knowledge, and human dignity. NOT!!!!!!

Public schools pose the greatest danger to your children and their future. I will give you one simple example.

What is the most common question asked by a child 3-4 years old?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
If you answered, "Why?" give yourself a pat on the back.
When a child reaches the prime old age of 18, what is the least asked question?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
If you again answered "Why?", give yourself another pat on the back.

The Public (actually gubbermint) schools destroy the inquisitiveness of all human beings. True a few outstanding free thinkers emerge but the majority are beaten into submission but the system. Why? (There's that damn annoying question again!) Because life is easier for the "system" when those it makes subservient don't ask embarassing question, when the people simply accept the dogma and do not question.

"Why?" is the greatest question a human can ask. Thinking, evaluating, growing all come in the form of "Why?" When one stops asking "Why?" one no longer thinks, evaluates, or grows. Many teachers plainly do not know the answer to "Why?" and do not have the courage to say so.

If you don't ask "Why?" you become stagnant. You become the slave, unable or unwilling to break free from the mediocre.

Ask yourself why we haven't made the great strides our parents and grandparents made. Nothing today has been as groundshaking as that which was created by our ancestors. The Baby Boomers have succeeded only in one way, destroying the culture of America. But that is for another BLOG.

Katrina - The Response

So who is to blame fore the problems before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina. First it is the individuals themselves. The first line of defense in all situations is Self. Self prepares for the wsworst. Self has a plan to deal with the problems. Self is responsible. But what happens when Self fails. That depends on how Self failed. If Self failed by not doing Self's duty then Self holds the responsibility. If Self is incapacitated before, during, or after, then Self should have a second appointed.

After Self and family, the local authorities carry the responsibility to maintain order and safety. After the local authorities, the county/paraish authorities hold the authority. Next in line is the State. Under our current failed system of government, the federal government comes next. However, the federal government was never designed nor was it established to deal with the needs of the individual. The federal government is restricted in its enumerated powers. And providing for the common Welfare of the People or States is not part of those powers.

So all the blaming can go on and on, but the truth is that first the People failed themselves and the local and state governments failed also.

Miranda warnings

Florida has thrown out convictions of murderers because the Miranda warnings were not exactly correct. The requirement of the Miranda warning is just another part of the cradle to grave mentality of government. Control the idiots. Tell them what, how, when, where, why. The masses are just too fecking stupid to deal with it.

It is the individual's responsibility to know the individual's rights. It is also the individual's responsibility to know that the police are NOT your friend. The police are there for the benefit of the government. And the government is NOT your friend.

It is difficult to believe that anyone who has watched TV in the past 40 years doesn't know their rights. Maybe you should have paid better attention in school, at the movies, to the news. Maybe you have taken the time to learn when you were given a free education instead of screwing up, causing trouble, and generally not paying attention. It is time for people to become responsible for themselves.

Until each and every person takes responsibility for his- or herself, we will continue to have a culture of dependency. Me, I hold no one responsible for my protection, for my family's protection. That is my job as husband and father. If something happens to me, the responsibility devolves upon my wife or my eldest.

If you can't carry the burden, don't marry and do not have children. It is not up to society to carry you and yours. Use that bump three feet above your butt for something more than a place to hang your hat.
