Land and housing in the US

Folks in the US are truly either stupid or ignorant. Theprice of housing has skyrocketed in the past couple of year but for absolutely no reason. There is no shortage of land, even if the land is in the hands of a few rich folks or the government. States24 acres should be removing the feds from land ownership within their borders. THe Constitution does not allow the fed to shut off access or even to have national parks, monuments, etc. The feds are authorized to make needful rules and regulations on territory held by the fed but they are not given power to make laws over territory. THe fed is not even authorized to form new states from the territories. That question was voted down in the 1787 convention. THe fed has no authority to take land (no eminent domain granted, none impled). The fed may purchase land for needful buildings with the permission of the legsilature of the state in which the land lies. See Article I, Section 8. Everything not written in the Constitution as a grant is withheld. See Tenth Amendment. Look at how much land is in the US. If we moved the entire population to Texas, each person would have 1/2 acre of real property. If we assume half is unusable, then each person would get 1/4 acre. The entire remainder of the US would be empty. Brokers and real estate people lie to the folks to whom they are selling land and homes. We have so much that no one need go without. However, most folks are unable to buy simply because of a lack of income and even if they use one of the government programs, they are unable to keep up the property because they do not have the resources. IN my system, home owners would be able to depreciate their personal residence, taking a taxc break each year just as folks who have rentals do. Thus people would have a reduced basis in their home and the property would sell over and over for the same price. But the developers and real estate people fake the increases in order to pad their income from the sale. And the people think their property is golden and that it's a way of saving for the future. The real amount of work and materials for a 1500 sq ft home today is no different than it was 20 or 30 or 50 years ago. The monetary increase is not real but is simply inflation because 1) there are many more dollars (fiat money, unconstitutional) in circulation and 2) FOlks think of homes and property as an investment because people think the amount of land it limited. Wihle the total amount of land is limited, the amount of land on Earth is so great that with 130 million sq km, each people on Earth could have 6.24 acres. I only 1/4 of the land is usable each person could have 1.5 acres. All the claims of land shortages etc are lies used to boost prices and cheat the people. In the US, all the retained lands in each state actually belong to the state and every state should get in there, take the land back, and sell it to the people.
