Our language is totally screwed

Republic Nation State which is which is what? Folks believe the one statement by Franklin that the Union is a republic. People are s2pid. Folks think a state is always a subunit of a nation. People are s2pid. Folks don't understand that nation and state are synonymous terms. Every hear of a secretary of nation? No it's secretary of state. Who did the United States break from from? The nation of Great Britain or the State of Great Britain? See the Declaration of Independence. It's the STATE of Great Britian. If the United States IS a nation why are all the references in the Constitution in the plural form indicating that United States is a plural entity and NOT a singular unit? The United States ARE a Union of free, independent nations, referred to as states. The United States is NOT a nation, nor is it sovereign.
